We’ve Worn The Tape Out……
Lee’s Summit Parks and Recreation purchased the FISH! customer service training program a number of years ago to use as our training program for part-time staff. It quickly became the staple of our customer service training for all full-time staff, part-time staff and volunteers. In fact it is a core component of our “new employee” orientation. As a parks and recreation department we hire well over 300 part-time and seasonal staff each year and utilize hundreds of volunteers to serve the patrons of our programs, facilities, and special events. Creating an exceptional experience is critical to our success. FISH was the perfect training program for our department. Four simple principles….. PLAY, MAKE THERE DAY, BE THERE, and CHOOSE YOUR ATTITUDE fit perfectly into our departmental philosophy and daily operations.
Well, the tape is dead! The video has been shown well over 100 times, to thousands of employees and volunteers over the years. It has served its purpose. But FISH! must go on. I was happy to hear the training program is now available on DVD. We have purchased the DVD and I can assure you we intend on wearing it out also.
