I would like to know... When you are having a bad day, what do you do to feel better...or do you?
It's your choice!

For me it's all about perspective. I take a walk away from where I am for 15 minutes. Then I think about what I have going for me. If I take a few minutes to realize this isn't the end of the world and remember the good stuff, I can refocus and get back to what is necessary to accomplish my goals or regain my level of patience. (Patience is my most challeneging opportunity LOL) We all have challenging moments and sometimes it's sssssssooooooooo difficult to remember to breathe. Getting into my car, turning up some fun music, and singing as loud as possible can help to.

Actually I have never had a bad day ( 1440 minutes and 86,400 seconds) I have challenging moments. They usually do not last long and I have found that I have learned more from things that go wrong than when things are great. Daniel Castro, author of Critical Choices that Change Peope's Lives has a quote..." Happiness is not the elimination of pain but the realization of purpose." Things are suppose to go wrong. It is a part of the journey. So knowing this, when the stuff happens I ask myself, "what is there to learn and how do I tackle the challenge that is before me?" We always have the stuff. It is what makes living so great. I tell poeple if the weather was nice all of the time...we would never know when it is nice. So I have learned to really enjoy the great times and the not so great times.

I try to seperate the facts of what has actually happened from the emotional feelings that I am having in response to those happenings. This helps me to get a different perspective and a little space from what I am experiencing. From there, I look to see how I can be a part of turning things around, what conversations do I need to have or actions need to take place. And then there are just sometimes when you have a bad day and there really isn't anything to do or say, you just have to wade through it...chipolte usually helps with that!
