The FISH! Philosophy Network

A longtime resident of California, after moving to Minnesota, used to wear his flip flops in the middle of the winter, but then spent the entire season complaining about how cold his feet were. He did not adjust to his climate.

As the weather turns cold this winter, with subzero temperatures and wind-chills in double digits below zero, would you decide to wear shorts and flip flops outside?

Of course you wouldn’t. It’s not the appropriate attire for winter.

Well just as the weather is constantly changing, so too does the economy. So pick the appropriate attitude during tough economic times just like you pick your wardrobe.

With news of layoffs, companies closing, and stocks plummeting, it would be very easy to take a negative vibe with you to work each day. But it is also easy — easier than you think — to take the opposite approach and stay positive.
What are the benefits of staying positive?

Well for one, you’re going to be a much more likeable employee. And secondly, it might just rub off on others and help create a positive atmosphere for your organization.

When the going gets tough, as they say, the tough get going…and you don’t achieve great results by having a negative attitude.

So Choose Your Attitude, and choose it wisely, as we find our way through these tough times.

Very clever story and right on about the changes and attitude.
Using the "BE THERE" principal for me means "BEING" the best I can be, so I have the knowledge and energy to help others, especially at work.

Very nice. Apt for the present situation.
Guess the people who survive are the ones who have a +ve attitude.
