Di - infinity fabulous

Di Olsson, a FISH networker and joyful learner champion brings a lot of joy to our school, she is dynamic, passionate and probably wouldnt mind me describing her as a rough diamond?

Last week she was telling me all about a session she did with some undergraduate teachers, and how worried she was that they were not in fact "joyful" learners themselves. Di being Di then created a most interesting activity to get some "joy" happening. Without stealing her thunder..........because I'd ask you to get on her blog and pester her.................the activity did revolve around the movie Priscilla.

She spoke with such passion about it I asked her to present it to our staff. After thinking about it she couldn't do the same presentation...........and I challenge you to ask her why................ but this morning a young child knocked on my office door and invited me to the artroom. As I entered, the disco lights flickered, 25 "Dressedup" infants began dancing and out popped Di, all to the sounds of "I love the nightlife". Next thing I know I have a sequinned top on and a congo line happening.........you would think thats as far as it goes............but no there was Priscilla as well!

We do of course actually do some learning here too, but boy that made my day. Di told me it was her parting gift to me, before heading off to Europe for a while. I'll be boogying Di!
