You must start with yourselves. It reflects into every conversation and relationship you have, if you are walking the walk and talking the talk with your co workers and leadership team. Get to know each other by created a team exercise where you find out something about one another you never knew, and make it a point to ask them about that “joy” when you see them. Be interested in others so you can be involved with what makes their day.

Talk about different ideas and brainstorm so everyone has an opportunity to contribute. You must start with yourselves. It plays out into every conversation you have if you are walking the walk and talking the talk with your co workers and leadership.

Make Their Day is about connecting with the person you are having interaction with. It isn't a cookie cutter practice due to the fact that everyone is unique. The best way to begin, is to make sure they feel valued. They should feel their interest and business is appreciated and you are going to contribute to making sure they have the best experience they could imagine. Ask questions to know who it is you are speaking with. If they feel in a hurry, don't drag it on. If they feel confused, put them at ease, if they feel joyful, take the mindset to escalate that.

Believe in yourself, that you can make a difference in the relationship. Ask them at the end of the reservation…”Did I make your day?”
