About Me:
When I'm not working, you can find me with my two sons, who are my life, or spending time screaming loudly for college football players who I still think are larger than life, despite being half my age.

I have been working in marketing/public relations/communications for over 10 years, and prior to that was a reporter/photographer at several newspapers in Iowa.

I am interested in hearing from fellow Fish Philosophers about what they would like to see as part of this community, so feel free to contact me any time.

Attitude is everything

Some of you who know me well probably know that the last month has probably been among the worst in my life. Those of you who don't know me as well can just understand that it's been a whirlwind of bad news one minute after the other. I've had one thing after the other pounding at my psyche, and everytime I think it's over, the next tsunami hits.

I've had some pretty rocky moments in my head during that time, and have done or said some really… Continue

I'd like to know some barriers you encounter to keeping FISH! alive...

I know there are alot of people who believe and follow The FISH! Philosophy, and obviously if you are here on this network, I'm not speaking with the people who are cynical non-believers.

Give me a sense, though, of any barriers you encounter in trying to implement or continue keeping it going.

Looking forward to your responses.

HI! I found you by looking up the FISH website. ;-) I pretty much was hooked after reading FISH STICKS, which I bought at my local GoodWill for 4.00! ;-)

I've visited the homepage off and on for years looking at what's new. I was just poking around looking for ideas of activities to "borrow" and use with my agency and came across this network. It's very cool! Kind of myspace-y, but I like it anyway. ;)

That's what I hear - and I find that very interesting, actually. Thanks for the welcome comment! :)

I don't really qualify as a journalist, though I've worked for publishing companies. Let's have lunch soon and compare war stories.

Hi Steve,
I love your wig. Please be careful, mine is not a wig. Good to read that you are a football fan. This weekend sees the preliminary finals for our Aussie Rules Football (footy) My team, Collingwood play Geelong tomorrow night. The tension is mounting and everyone is talking footy. My whole family are Collingwood supporters and when we are sitting in the stands at the MCG with 100,000 other supporters The Fish Philosophy is all around. We are being there! Choose your attitude, we can do this! Make their day. Your team playing in the finals makes my day and if they will......... Fun ? Heaps of it.
I'll let you know if we win next week or you could take on the challenge and google it.
Cheers Di
