That's awesome Shari! You should have given the driver an on the spot FISH! Award! Although, not if the car was in motion...... Thanks for being who you are while you do what you do - and making the world a better place as you do it!

Everywhere you turn there is something, Shari. Something that reminds us of exactly THAT...Who are we being? It's whether we are too busy or distracted to notice the inconspicuous reminders or completely open to recognizing them, how ever suttle the…

I would add...If you have shown the video to all existing employees, and hope to reach a point where it is just "WHO you are" as an organization...you really ought to be showing it to all new employees too. At Ranken Jordan Children's Hospital, we s…

I love creativity!! I was driving yesterday, running errands and happened upon this license plate. At first glance, being a nurse, I thought maybe it was someone supporting the American Diabetes Association. But I couldn't work out the "2D" in my mind. Then it hit me...ATTITUDE!!! I had to chuckle and I sped up to wave at the driver. I am sure he wondered what was wrong with me. That simple visual reminder made me smile and think...who am I being while I do what I am doing...whatever it is I am… Continue

Shari,
I am the clinical coordinator for the ICU/ED/Med-Surg in a small hospital in OR, the attitudes here are terrible and we need to do something to remedie this. I was listening to FISH the DVD and they talked about how you were able to implement the philosphy at that hospital in St. Louis. Can you give me some pointers as to how you did this?

Thanks,
Rick Rhoton, RN

Shari- I have gone to your seminar at Mo Bap. I would love to use your video for my summer extern nursing students. I do not know where to find it. In the past I borrowed it from you. Can you help me? I work at the College of Nursing at UMSL and the BJC summer extern program.

thanks

Hi Shari,
Jenne contacted you earlier about my potential study tour to Northern America. I would be very keen to come to your organisation and experience what you have done there and learn from your vast experience.
We have implemented at our hospital and I am wanting to study some sustainability strategies to ensure lasting success.
cheers
Darren

Hi Shari

I'm a FiSH! Philosophy rep of Charthouse in australia and one of my customers, a south australian hospital, may be given a grant to go overseas to observe FiSH! in other cuotnries and organisations.

Your work looks amazing and I wondered if I could put Darren in contact with you for a chat and a possible visit later in the year?

We show the video during New Hire Orientation and I invite them to adopt the philosophy as they work here. I have 30 minutes (video 18 minutes)
We have decoration all over the building, but expense is a problem now. and I do not feel they are getting the messages.
How can we update the decorations - up since Aug-Sept 08.
When I went on a walk today, one person stopped me and called my attention to her glass fish sticking on the top of her office glass. That was a great feeling. Then the next office had big fish on their window. I said I like your fish...she said I had to collect them one by one.
So that is fun.
We are moving 60 people around this week. After they are settled we need to to a building wide reorganized get acquainted activity. Any suggestions?

Thanks. How do we get the message out to the people when they are so busy, they baulk at any additional meetings.
I am the only one who has read the facilitators manual and all the books and I use them in an email 1 time a month.
Tell me how you got the message out.
