Jay and Shari, Thank you so much for sharing these studies with us! I think this might help drive the point home with my group that it's not just something we have to do at work - it might actually give them a reason to want to do it!…

Hello! I work in a "quality" department - I'm the primary auditor for one unit within the company, and responsible for rolling out FISH to them. Last year was the first time with this, and had less than stellar results. There was a…

About Me:
Hello! My name is Kim and I'm a Quality Control Analyst (fancy way of saying I have a way of making people upset with me!) and also responsible for implementing FISH to the areas I audit. I was first introduced to FISH when I started with this company - my previous employer had really worn me down and made my self worth and energy sink to levels I'd never known existed. When this job opportunity became available, I jumped at the chance. We practice the FISH Philosophy and other managers have seen how it can work - they asked that we take it to the various departments within the company.

I love the program, myself, but the two teams I audit are very different - one group is a call center so I don't have much interaction with them, as I can't pull them off the phones; the other group really dislikes the program (they fear change!) and is very resistant to making it work for them. If you've read the book, as I'm sure you have, they are the poster children for "toxic energy dump!" I joined in hopes that I could find some new ideas to help get them excited about FISH as much as I am, and hopefully I can make some new friends along the way!
