ChartHouse Learning Teambuilding Activity

Creating to reach a common goal: ChartHouse Learning experienced a team building exercise that included very few instructions but
one common goal.

The purpose was to build the tallest structure with what was included in
the box they received. The box was full of precut cardstock. They had 20 minutes to complete the exercise. We divided our company into 3 smaller groups, each given the same printed instructions and materials.

The purpose of this exercise was to demonstrate how working as a team could affect the success of a common goal. It was amazing to see how each group dove into the assignment, how different approaches to the exercise were taken and the download as to what worked...what didn't. We reflected on how working as a team during this exercise is similar and/or different from how we work as a team as a company.
