The FISH! Philosophy Network

We are currently running FISH! workshops across our organisation for staff. The workshops are 1/2 day and are not mandatory (we would like everyone to come on their own choice). So far 140 staff have attended a workshop and the feedback has been amazing.

My challenge is getting the men in the organisation interested. While a small number of men have come along, many are seeing it as touchy feely stuff.

My question is: how do I get the blokey blokes to want to come FISH!ing with us?

appreciate your thoughts,

Katrina

Hi katrina,
Thank you for advocating FISH! in your organization. And I appreciate you not wanting to mandate your FISH! workshops. Ironically, every member of the Pike Place Fish team in the video is a guy! And traditionally guys have been fisherman more than women have, and so usually that alone piques the curiosity of guys when they are invited to learn about the FISH! Philosophy (not that there is a any strong connection to fishing and the FISH! Philosophy, but just the word "Fish" usually at least gets the attention of guys.)
I wonder if you could send an invitation to attend attend a FISH! Workshop that included a FISH! story that would help people (especially the guys) see that FISH! was totally relevant totheir work and their lives? Please feel free to contact me at 800-811-5209 as I'd be happy to discuss this with you further. Thanks.
Katrina,

Love the title, I think I might steal that one and use it at some stage. Did the 140 turn up to one workshop?
